Accounts Payable Specialist

Accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices Matching receiving/PO's/invoice Gaining appropriate approvals Coding invoices with appropriate general ledger account number Investigate and resolve discrepancies Weekly payments (checks, wire transfers, EFT) Interface with vendors and internal departments as needed Assist in issuance of monthly financial statements Reconcile accounts payable aging to the general ledger Additional general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries as assigned Responsible for monthly accruals Assist in month-end closing procedure Process annual 1099's and W-9 maintenance Maintain appropriate records and files Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent and minimum one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of bookkeeping practices/procedures relating to accounts payable operations.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical functions (e.
g.
, adding, subtracting, dividing, etc.
).
Proficient computer skills.
Specifically in the use of spreadsheets (Excel) and MS Office applications.
Highly accurate and strong data entry skills.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Detailed oriented with ability to manage multiple projects PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear.
The team member frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
